Our shop, Kowsva, in Heartlands, Redruth, has been a great success over the nine years since it opened. However, Heartlands has now closed and the number of visitors to Kowsva had dropped dramatically. We sadly have had to accept that Kowsva is no longer viable and does not support our aim of bringing Cornish to a wider community.  We therefore decided, with regret, to close it on September 1st 2024. We held a successful closing down sale on its last weekend.

However, we have been working on exciting plans to bring pop-up Kowsvas to local areas across Cornwall. Instead of you coming to Kowsva, Kowsva will come to you!

We will develop this website page as we develop those ideas. But as a start, here are the dates and locations for the next few months.

Saturday 5th October – Festival of Words – Looe

Millpool Centre, Looe 10am – 4.30pm. A new book festival. We will be providing a book stall and a talk “A brief history of the Cornish language” at 4pm. More details here.

Saturday 2nd November – Solempnita, Lys Kernow, Truro

We will have a book stall at the Cornish Language Exam celebration in New County Hall, Truro.
