7th July 2025 by melanie in REVIVE

REVIVE project is coming to Cornwall to meet the Cornish language community on July 21st and 22nd 2025. They will:

  • Present the REVIVE project
  • Answer questions from community members
  • Introduce the community participation roles
  • Visit key local sites alongside the community

Please come along and give your views on the Cornish priorities for this exciting project.

On Monday July 21st, at Penryn campus, there will be presentations from the project and the Griko community – the other endangered language community involved in the project. There will be a chance to ask questions of the project lead from Anglia Ruskin University and a description of the opportunities to be involved in the project. There will be remote access too (details to follow).

Please book via Eventbrite here.

The meeting will be in Peter Lanyon Building, Penryn Campus, Treliever Road, Penryn, TR10 9FR (campus map showing parking and the meeting location below).

On Tuesday July 22nd there will be informal meetings, with walks if the weather is good enough, in Wheal Martyn near St Austell in the morning from 9.30 – 11.30, and in the Morrab Library, Penzance, in the afternoon from 2 to 4 o’clock.

REVIVE is a Horizon Europe project that brings together researchers and language communities to explore how digital innovation, Extended Reality technologies, and participatory storytelling can promote revitalisation and engagement with Endangered Languages in Europe – focusing on Cornish (United Kingdom) and Griko (Puglia, Italy).
